Welcome to Georgia Restaurant, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Montreal at 5112 Decarie Blvd. This charming eatery brings an inviting blend of Russian and Georgian culinary traditions to your plate, highlighted by a cozy decor that envelops you in warmth and character. Operated by a diligent team who are passionate about their craft, Georgia Restaurant promises an authentic dining experience that feels like a trip to Tbilisi.

From my first encounter, I was captivated by the rich tapestry of flavors that grace the menu. Each dish is a reflection of its roots, crafted with love and attention to detail. The Khatchapouri, a traditional Georgian bread filled with cheese, is a must-try, glowing with golden crust and melty goodness. It evokes memories of comfort, akin to a warm embrace on a cold winter day. As one customer aptly noted, "you truly get a sense you are having your meal in Russia or one of its satellite countries."

The decor strikes a balance between lavish and homey, providing an aesthetic that invites relaxation. The burgundy kitsch decor creates a cozy ambiance perfect for small gatherings, solo readings, or intimate dates. As another reviewer highlighted, the atmosphere is delightfully quiet, allowing for enjoyable conversations accompanied by the gentle notes of cultural music.

The food presentation deserves special mention—each plate is artfully prepared, demonstrating a clear love for the culinary art. Whether you opt for the exquisite eggplant garnished with pomegranate or the hearty soup adorned with delicate dumplings, every bite bursts with depth and flavor. Diners have raved about the fulfilling nature of these dishes; they are as satisfying as they are delicious, with sides that complement the mains perfectly.

Don't overlook the delightful desserts either; my recommendation includes the Gateau "Medovik", a coffee-infused honey cake that serves as a sweet conclusion to the meal. Each dessert pays homage to the culinary influences found throughout Eastern Europe, making them a delightful exploration of taste.

Georgia Restaurant stands as a beacon for those seeking something different—a treasure trove of rich, comforting flavors that celebrate cultural heritage. With genuinely attentive service, a well-curated menu, and an atmosphere that feels like home, this restaurant is sure to leave you coming back for more. That’s the promise of Georgia Restaurant—a heartfelt invitation to savor unforgettable meals in a welcoming setting.

A small restaurant full of character operated by a small but diligent staff. Interior decor is quite lavish without being overwhelming though, in my opinion, it does betray the actual casual, home-y atmosphere present. The menu is primarily Russian dishes with Georgian ones integrated. Dishes are wonderfully presented with utmost care and with clear and present love for the food being served. The food itself is quite tasty with a depth and variety of flavor presented with the sides complimenting the main item in each dish. And all food is rich and fulfilling regardless of portion. Price may be a bit high for some, though I believe that it is totally worth it for the food.

It’s delightful. The food is delicious, simple and comforting as if it’s your grandmother’s cooking. The service is perfect for me: the waitress is calm, and reserved, when you are ready to order or ask to order. It’s not the kind of place to be uppity nor high maintenance. Simple service, and no annoyances. The restaurant is small and quiet with a lovely burgundy kitsch decor and good cultural music. It’s perfect in the winter as it’s warm and bright. A perfect place for small friend groups, solo reading or a quiet date.

Dining in this restaurant, you truly get a sense you are having your meal in Russia or one of its satellite countries, the design and the decorations plus the waitress make you feel like to be in Tbilisi. We were lucky enough to have some native Russians or Georgian next to our table and they sang a few famous folklore songs together which made the taste of the food stronger and more pleasant. We ordered eggplant garnished with pomegranate beautifully as an appetizer and also a soup which had something very similar to ravioli and or small dumplings in there. Don't forget to order Khatchpouri which is literally bread and cheese like pizza but prepared in a very traditional manner although I expected in a different shape ( which looks like a crescent ) it was yummy and appetizing. I wish I was there one more time if someone guaranteed I have those singers company

Foodtastic! We were happily surprised by everything we ordered. There were 6 of us, and we tried so many items. From the first bite of khatchapouri I was in love! I ordered a large one to enjoy today. Bonus is that they offer 500ml beer :D

We visited this place for the first time today. Delicious like at home. Borscht, salad, khinkali were wonderful. And khachapuri and pancakes with cheese for dessert simply caused delight. A very nice young man did his best for us. We will definitely come back here more than once.
